This example shows data graphs created in ArcMap. While moving the mouse over the data graph, the corresponding feature in the map will be highlighted. Also multilined Map Tips are demonstrated.

"Tiling and Dynamic Loading" (Professional Version)

Unites States
In this example the background image as well as the roads, rivers (line layers) and the cities (point layer) are tiled. In case of visibility the specific tile is loaded dynamically. The cities layer is loaded dynamically if the scale range of visibility is given (scale ranges are taken over from ArcGIS). File sizes all together are about 23.3 MB.

"Location search" (Professional Version)

The Streets of Freising (German-language)
Demonstrates the location search functionality for Freising (Germany). The file size is 984 KB, the XML file with the street data has a size of 457 KB. Alltogether there are 1,379 street segments.

If you don't know the lovely city of Freising, pick up a streetname to test the application:

  • Vimystrasse (No: 1b)
  • Max-Lehner-Strasse (No: 18)
  • Asamstrasse (No: 8)
  • Marienplatz (No: 1)

The Streets of Baltimore, Maryland
Demonstrates the location search functionality for Baltimore with the use of the PlugIn MV_DBTable. The sizes of the SVG files etc. are 3.76 MB. The attribute data are stored in a MySQL database. Alltogether the application has 23,299 street segments.

If you have never been to Baltimore, MD here a few streetnames to test the application:

  • Cherry Hill Road (No: 606)
  • W 29Th St (No: 360)

House numbers are not displayed with the Firefox 1.5 browser.

Sights of Freising (sorry only German-language)
The pictures of the object information are stored in ArcGIS as field type raster. MapViewSVG copies and resamples these picture files automatically in your MapView project and displays them in the browser. The display of the object information is either in a new window or in the main window as in this example.
